Greene County Comm School District issued the following announcement on September 9.
Tailgating 101 instructor Todd Gordon started last night’s adult education class with students sampling Masters Golf Tournament pimento cheese sandwiches. They then moved to the Blackstone Griddle where Todd showed students how to make a sausage egg dish perfect for a morning tailgate. Next, Todd made loose meat sandwiches on the Blackstone Griddle using the original Maid-Rite recipe from Taylors restaurant in Marshalltown, Iowa..
The evening ended with smoked bologna sliders from his Traeger Pellet Grill. All of the food was so good and Todd provided recipes for everyone. Thank you to Todd Gordon for a fun night of grilling and socializing
We also want to extend a big thank you to Fareway for donating a gift card for the supplies for this class.
Our next class called Tailgating 102 is with Nate Nelson who will teach which rubs to use on different cuts of meat. This class is on Tuesday, September 21st, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
