The Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) is the online assessment that will be given to all students in grades 3-11 in the areas of Reading, Math, Language and Writing. Students in grades 5, 8 and 10 will also take the Science test.
8th and 10th grade Science test - tentatively April 4th.
Attendance for testing is important. Please do what you can to make sure your child is at school during the statewide testing.
Try to limit morning appointments during the testing time.
Cell phones will be prohibited during the 90 minute testing time.
If students arrive late on testing days they will make up their tests the week of April 3rd.
Please contact Stacy Muench, stacy.muench@crbcrusaders.org, if you know that your child will be using the make up day.
Some other tips that help kids perform their best on these types of assessments include:
1. Make sure your child gets enough sleep the night before the test.
2. Make sure your child eats breakfast.
3. Remind them to listen closely to instructions.
4. They should focus on addressing each question individually.
5. Coach them to stay relaxed and confident.
6. Remind them to review their answers. This test is not timed, so students can take time to check things over before they submit their test.
7. Please have their iPads fully charged.
Thank you for the continued support of your child's education! Go Crusaders!
