Jordan Blackwill, MSN, CRNA, (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist), has been added to the medical staff at Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH). CRNAs are the primary providers of anesthesia care in rural America, enabling healthcare facilities like CCMH to offer obstetrical, surgical, pain management, and trauma stabilization services. In some states, CRNAs are the sole providers in nearly 100 percent of rural hospitals.
Erin Muck, CCMH CEO and President, said the hiring of Blackwill is the final piece in assembling the CRNA team at the hospital. “On behalf of the CCMH Board of Trustees, we are thrilled to have Jordan on our staff,” Muck said.
Blackwill is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist who provides all aspects of anesthesia care at CCMH. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University in Omaha in 2008, and then went on to earn his Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from Clarkson College in Omaha. Blackwill served as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Northwest Anesthesia in Omaha, and most recently at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Blackwill is a lifelong speaker of American Sign Language (ASL) and is proficient in basic Spanish.
Muck continued, “Language barriers are a significant healthcare problem, but having Jordan’s unique skills will allow us to expand accessibility of health services and better care for our patients.”
Outside of work, Blackwill enjoys beekeeping, woodworking, and discovering new hobbies with his two teenage children.
