Snook Lautner brings experience, passion and leadership to the position
- Snook Lautner has served in many leadership roles at DMACC, including as Co-Director of the College's Guided Pathways.
- In her new role, Snook Lautner will lead and manage the College's student orientation and registration program, and coordinate academic and advising services district-wide.

- Experience in many facets of DMACC has resulted in a new position for Megan Snook Lautner, who has been hired as the Assistant Director of Student Development at DMACC.
Snook Lautner fills the position vacated when Erica Spiller became the Associate Provost at the DMACC Urban Campus.
In her new position, Snook Lautner will lead and manage the student orientation and registration program and coordinate academic and advising services district-wide. In addition, she will provide supervision for district career center staff and express advising staff at the Ankeny Campus.
Snook Lautner will report to DMACC Student Development Director Wade Robinson.
“This position is important as we look to enhance our orientation processes and focus on the Guided Pathways initiative that is one of the points of emphasis at DMACC right now," Robinson said.
Robinson said that he had been impressed by Snook Lautner's experience working with such a wide variety of programs and on different initiatives at DMACC, in particular the Guided Pathways Initiative.
Snook Lautner agrees that her experience will prove beneficial as she looks to update the orientation process for incoming DMACC students.
“Entering the Path and Staying on the Path are two of the four pillars of the Guided Pathways framework," Snook Lautner said. “I'm really excited to begin implementing this framework into Orientation and Career Services to help students find their passion and their people."
Snook Lautner earned an Associate of Arts degree in Education from Kirkwood Community College, a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Iowa and a Master's in Higher Education from Iowa State University.
