The Board of Trustees of Crawford County Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Patrick Luft, MD, will begin his Family Medicine and OB practice at the CCMH Medical Clinic in August 2022. Dr. Luft is already serving CCMH as an Emergency department physician.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Patrick Luft to family practice and obstetrics at CCMH alongside his father, Dr. Michael Luft”, said Erin Muck, CCMH President and CEO. “We continue to build our medical staff to meet the increasing needs in our community and county.”
Dr. Luft noted, “I became a family doctor because of my dad. He’s someone who I’ve always admired and wanted to follow in his footsteps.”
Dr. Luft earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and completed his pre-med studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa. After obtaining his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Walden University in Minneapolis, Dr. Luft earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences at St. Kitts in the Caribbean. Dr. Luft fulfilled his Family Medicine Residency in Des Moines and finished the Rural Iowa Health Care Track at Wayne County Hospital and Clinic in Corydon, Iowa.
Dr. Luft is certified with the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). Founded in 1969, ABFM is a not-for-profit, private organization whose mission is to improve the health of the public through Board Certification, Residency Training, Research, Leadership Development, and promoting the development of the specialty of Family Medicine. Dr. Luft is also a member of the Iowa Medical Society and the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Luft will start seeing patients at the CCMH Medical Clinic on Monday, August 15, 2022. Patients can call the CCMH Medical Clinic at (712) 265-2700 at any time to schedule appointments.
“I really have a passion to provide high quality, compassionate, medical care to all ages. I really like the patient education side of medicine,” Dr. Luft said.
Dr. Luft grew up in Ida Grove and currently makes his home in Denison.
