Audubon County Memorial Hospital Puts Community First

34

Audubon County Memorial Hospital recently issued the following announcement.

This pandemic has touched us all. Many of us know someone who has been affected by COVID-19. Whether this virus has been in your home, at work or in your community, the consequences have had a ripple effect on how we currently live our lives.

Turn on any form of social media, and you will find the most recent statistics and positivity rates while hearing the latest in a very long line of stories of suffering. While some of us are able to take a brief respite and distract ourselves by turning off the news, there are those among us who choose to step into the moment. These are our Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics’ essential workers.

ACMH’s essential workers have endured the pressure of the pandemic on a daily basis. This challenge has brought out the very best in the staff where every department has become critical in the management of patient care.

ACMH has continued to utilize telemedicine to offer patients the option to stay local instead of going to the city while keeping their exposure to the virus at a minimum.  ACMH has also added Post COVID Rehabilitation to their Rehab Services and Audubon Family Health Clinic extended business hours on Tuesday evenings until 7:00 p.m. The ACMH team continues to explore opportunities to bring to ACMH and Clinics that will better serve the residents of Audubon County.

This pandemic is not over. Try as we might, our essential workers still have a long way to go without a clear end in sight. Through it all, they continue to show up for our families and neighbors just as they show up for each other.

Spend just a little time with any of the staff at ACMH and you will see grit, determination, care, and compassion.  Each one of these workers is a part of the backbone of Audubon County and we are grateful.

Thank you to the Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics essential employees for choosing to step into this moment in history by putting the health and wellness of our community first.
