Greene County Comm School District recently issued the following announcement.
On February 19th, the Greene County Jazz Band will hold its inaugural Java and Jazz showcase, and thanks to a grant from BOOST, our concert will feature the Iowa Women’s Jazz Orchestra.
Our concert will also feature free coffee for our guests, thanks to the generosity of Greene Bean Coffee.
Our students will perform their competition set at 3 pm, then play in collaborative jazz combos with professionals from the IWJO.
Finally, the IWJO will perform an hour set at 4:30.
Proceeds will go toward our Disney Trip as well as band equipment.
