St. Anthony Regional Hospital Announces New Vice President of Quality

St Anthony Regional Hospital recently issued the following announcement.

Bailee Schleisman, RN, BSN, MAM, has accepted the executive role of Vice President of Quality effective January 1, 2022.

As St. Anthony Vice President of Quality, Schleisman will provide leadership for the Electronic Medical Records, computer analysts, utilization review, infection prevention, and inpatient social workers as well as the Information Technology staff and processes, and the corporate integrity program.

“Bailee’s leadership and attention to patient safety during the pandemic has been invaluable,” said Ed Smith, President and CEO. “This safety mindedness will serve St. Anthony well in a larger capacity.”

As Vice President of Quality, Bailee’s oversight will ensure the delivery of high quality, safe health care for all patients served by St. Anthony. Her responsibilities will include provider privileging and peer review, medical staff liaison, risk management, guidance of performance improvement activities, monitoring of patient experience, quality scores and safety measures, as well as regulatory standards compliance and survey readiness.

Bailee received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Creighton University in 2009, and Masters of Arts in Management in Healthcare from Briar Cliff University in 2017. She joined St. Anthony in 2012 in Critical Care and transitioned to Iowa Heart as a Cardiology nurse and clinic manager. Her most recent position was as Infection Preventionist / Quality Professional since 2018.

“I am very excited to lead the Quality team at St. Anthony and to serve Carroll and the surrounding region,” said Bailee. “I value the rich tradition of high quality health care that has been provided to the patients of St. Anthony, and I look forward to continuing that legacy.”

Bailee grew up in rural Nebraska. She and her husband Alex moved back to the Carroll area in 2012, where they also farm with Alex’s family. They have three children ages 10, 8, and 4. Schleisman succeeds Barb Toohey who had been with St. Anthony for a total of 28 years and will retire later this summer.
