MRHC Now Offers DOT Physicals

Manning

Manning Regional Healthcare recently issued the following announcement.

Manning Regional Healthcare Center is now offering Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals. A DOT physical examination must be conducted by a licensed "medical examiner" listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry. Samantha Quelland, ARNP recently became certified for these physicals and is now taking appointments.

“One of our priorities here at MRHC is to provide services to our local employers, and in our mostly agricultural community, truck driving is a significant part of what our employers do,” said Linn Block, RN, BSN, MHA. “We appreciate Sam for taking this additional responsibility to provide another service to the patients and employers we serve.”

Once a DOT physical has been completed and he or she is determined to be medically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV), the medical examiner will furnish one copy of the results to the person who was examined and complete a Medical Examiner's Certificate.

To schedule a DOT physical with Samantha Quelland, call MRHC at (712) 655-2072.
