Join us on Wednesday, August 4th for a discussion about minority mental health ways to manage stress with DMACC Psychology professor, Tony Stevens! This event will be virtual via Zoom from 12-1 PM.
About Tony Stevens:
Positive Psychology, Attribution Theory, Labeling and Surviving/Recovering from Trauma will be topics covered by DMACC Urban Psychology Professor Tony Stevens in this discussion. Born in Southern California Professor Stevens is an award-winning researcher and professor who has collaborated on research projects with teams from Australia, Israel, Iran, Egypt, West Africa and the U.S. He consults for the ACT, lectures throughout Iowa on intelligence, ethnomathematics, race and inclusion, is an accomplished musician, and serves as a youth sports coach. His studies in Psychometrics and Applied Individual Differences, coupled with his unique life experiences have provided him a perspective that is healthy and useful particularly in times of stress and trauma.
