Carroll Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.
The Carroll Chamber Board of Directors, Band Day committee, and our local schools and band directors are saddened to announce the cancellation of the 63rd Annual Carroll Band Day parade and competition on Saturday, October 3, 2020. We tried to hold off a decision as long as possible in the hopes that holding this wonderful Carroll tradition would be possible.
With a small number of bands able to participate due to reasons surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and a limited number of businesses and organizations registering float entries, we just do not feel we can reasonably hold a first-class event this year.
So while we take this year off, we all are motivated to bring you a great Carroll Band Day Parade in October 2021.
