City of Carroll issued the following announcement on Sept. 17.
A section of West Street will be closed Monday, Sept. 21 for paving. The City of Carroll has been notified by the subcontractor, Fort Dodge Asphalt Co., that they are planning to have the paving on West Street from 7th to 18th Streets completed by the end of the day. Work will begin at approximately 5 a.m. with completion expected by 7:30 p.m. The road will have to remain closed for curing, but we believe we will be able to reopen late Monday night. Residents adjacent to the construction project are being notified individually, either in person or by a written notice delivered to the residence or business. All drivers are asked to find alternate routes next Monday.
