Denison Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on July 16.
Congratulations to three standout CDC member businesses for winning our 2020 Business Awards, ID Apparel, Denison Family Health Center, and Cronk's Restaurant & Lounge! All three businesses have made exceptional investments in our community and were nominated by our 15 member Board of Directors to be honored this year.
ID Apparel earned our Innovators Award (category for less than 5 years in business) thanks to their rapid growth, excellent retail space and beautiful re-use of a unique building in Denison. We are proud to have assisted this small business in coaching and planning from its founding days.
Denison Family Health Center was chosen for our Emerging Leaders Award (5-20 years in business) thanks to their professionalism in the medical field, their beautiful renovation of their office building, and the expanded options for high quality healthcare they have brought to our area.
The Legacy Award (more than 20 years in business) for Cronk's Restaurant & Lounge is perhaps the first time we have awarded a business not currently open. The importance of Cronk's impact on our community cannot be overstated — it was the preferred casual meeting place of our community for more than 90 years. We look forward with hope to a day we can visit Cronk's again. Regardless of what the future holds, we honor their storied place in the history of Crawford County and wish the absolute best to the Skoog family and all former staff members.
These awards are being delivered today, following last night's first virtual CDC Annual Meeting.
