Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is stepping in to help those who have yet to receive their highly-anticipated stimulus payments, according to CBC Online.
While more than a month has gone by since payments of the $2 trillion bailout were deposited, many haven’t gotten theirs. The IRS has developed a digital platform where people can track their payment, but until they officially receive it, ISU Extension and Outreach is offering a bit of direction.
Those who are looking for help with payments, and have concerns about other money woes, are urged to reach out to the nearest ISU Extension and Outreach office.
Meanwhile, the organization’s Family Finance Specialist, Carol Ehlers said a key reason payments are delayed is because the IRS might not have all of the information needed. People can sign up for a remote account with a participating bank to help ease the process.
The IRS is getting closer to mailing out actual checks.
