DES MOINES AREA COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Iowa Culinary Institute® Baking and Pastry Arts to Hold Information Sessions at DMACC Newton Campus

Des Moines Area Community College issued the following announcement on Jan. 21.

New one-year diploma program in baking and pastry arts will begin in Fall 2020

The Iowa Culinary Institute (ici®) at DMACC will hold two upcoming information sessions for students interested in learning more about the ici Baking and Pastry Arts at the DMACC Newton Campus. The new program will welcome its inaugural class in Fall 2020 and offer a one-year diploma program in baking and pastry arts.

The two upcoming information sessions will be held as follows:

  • 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, at the DMACC Newton Campus
  • 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, at the DMACC Newton Campus
There is no cost to attend an information session, but space is limited and interested individuals are asked to reserve their spot by calling the DMACC Newton Campus at (641) 791-3633.

Students who complete the one-year program will graduate as skilled baking artisans, prepared to begin working or to continue on to earn a two-year culinary degree.
