DENISON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: "Santa & Mrs. Claus to Visit Denison this Holiday Season"

Denison Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Dec. 12. 

Santa & Mrs. Claus will be visiting the Santa House in Uptown Denison for the first time this season on Thursday, December 12th from 5-7pm. Visiting Santa is free, and visitors may take their own photos of children and families with Santa & Mrs. Claus. This project is sponsored by the Women in Business Impact Organization (WIBIO-a committee of the Chamber and Development Council of Crawford County). Santa’s house is located in between the United Bank of Iowa’s drive through and the Cobalt Credit Union office, in the park area behind the tall pine tree. Rachel Desy, a member of WIBIO shared that, “We are excited for visitors to see the new flooring that was installed by our amazing volunteer, Phil Nichols who also designed and constructed the house. We are looking forward to having guests take photos in front of the new mural that was painted by WIBIO members during Crawford County Beautification Week last April,” Desy added.   

Dates for future visits are as follows:

·         Saturday, December 14th from 1-3pm

*Returning this year: Horse Drawn Wagon Rides will be available from 1-4pm on Dec. 15th meet in the lobby at the Donna Reed Theatre and the new  CDC Winter “Snowcial” event will be taking place on Center Street in Uptown Denison from Noon to 5pm.

·         Sunday, December 15th from 1 to 3pm

·         Thursday, December 19th from 5-7pm

The Holiday House was constructed in 2015 and was made possible through the group receiving donations to fund the effort from numerous businesses and residents of Crawford County.  The group would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all the sponsors who have made this project possible.  For further information on the Santa House project contact the CDC Office at 263-5621.
