City of Guthrie Center issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
A reminder to support the Panora VFW/American Legion/Sons of American Legion breakfast fund raiser from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 9 at Veterans Auditorium in Panora.
A portion of the proceeds will help fund Honor Flight trips to Washington, D.C. this spring for four area veterans.
Also, the Guthrie Center American Legion and Sons will host their annual free oyster and chili soup supper for veterans on Monday, November 11 which is Veterans Day. Serving starts at 5 p.m.
