Des Moines Area Community College issued the following announcement on Nov. 4.
The DMACC Choirs will present a Veterans Day Choral Concert featuring special guest Dr. Simon Estes at 6 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 8th, in the Bldg. #6 Auditorium on the Ankeny Campus.
The free concert will honor active and retired servicemen and servicewomen in advance of Veterans Day on Nov. 11th. Dr. James Thompson, Director of The Simon Estes School of Fine Arts at DMACC, will be leading the choir in its performance.
A reception will be held at the Iowa Culinary Institute at DMACC (Bldg. #7) following the concert.
