City of Denison issued the following announcement on Oct. 31.
The Denison Elementary School has informed the CDC of a potential scam that has been reported locally.
The company may be going by the name “Ambassadors” and is asking businesses for sizable donations in order to purchase character books for the school’s character program. A representative from the Denison Elementary School has informed the CDC that they are not affiliated with this program and have not endorsed it. Please alert any business owners you know to be extra attentive at this time and to verify any suspicious invoices before submitting payment.
