Audubon Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 30.
From the City Clerk’s office—
Notice to local businesses: Ice melt SHOULD NOT be placed on the new concrete of the sidewalk for this first season. The ice melt will cause damage to the concrete. After this season, owners are fine to place ice melt on the concrete.
Also to clarify, there have been assumptions that the City will be scooping sidewalks for all the downtown businesses. The City will not be scooping the sidewalks for businesses.
