There were two gas stations in cities across Guthrie County selling regular gas at the lowest price of $3.29 per gallon in the week ending June 1, according to GasBuddy.com.
Of the nine gas stations in cities within Guthrie County, two offer regular gas.
The average price of regular gas in Iowa was $3.27, compared to $3.21 the week before.
Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
